Orchha, situated in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, is a town seeped in history. Established in 1501 by Maharaja Rudra Pratap Singh, the town lies on the banks of the Betwa river. Not often visited, this town is dotted with several unusual tombs and temples that showcase both Mughal architecture as well as the typical Hindu-style of carvings and paintings.
My pictures for this week’s photo challenge are from the forgotten town of Orchha.
