Hamba kahle in Zulu means “go well”. Last week the world lost one of the greatest men of our times – Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.
I feel lucky to be in South Africa at this momentous time. The outpouring of love and respect for Madiba is unimaginable, unfathomable. But the thing that touched me most was the fact that the people are not crying or mourning the passing away of this great man….they are in fact dancing, singing and celebrating the life of Mandela, who is fondly called Tata and Madiba by his people.

His was indeed a Long Walk to Freedom and I just hope and pray that his legacy lives on….that the rainbow nation and its leaders strive to live by his example.
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” – Nelson Mandela
