Norwood, A Restaurant Destination: Part 1

Schwarma CoAs many of you may have realised, I have taken it upon myself to explore the restaurant scene in the East Rand. After covering Cyrildene or China town, I travelled a little further, to Norwood.

Norwood is a quaint, old, tree-lined suburb of Jo’burg, with many houses dating back to the 1920’s and 30’s. It’s a very multi-cultural and multi-racial area, with Jews, Muslims, Italians, West Africans and South Africans living together. Grant Avenue in Norwood is akin to 4th Avenue in Parkhurst or 4th Avenue in Melville – lined with cafes and eateries. You can read more of this article here.
